Charlevoix VINE and OTIS Differ
VINE supplies event-oriented custody information and notifications. OTIS is Michigan’s public offender system for current MDOC prisoners, parolees, probationers, and people within its post-discharge publication window. OTIS does not contain a person sentenced only to county jail.
For a state-prison release, read OTIS labels precisely. PAROLE means release from prison into community supervision. DISCHRG means MDOC jurisdiction for that sentence ended. Date Paroled is an actual MDOC prison-exit marker. Earliest Release Date is a potential eligibility point, not a promised release. A future Maximum Date is a calculation, not a completed event.

Charlevoix Registry Alerts Differ
Michigan’s public sex-offender registry is a separate post-release system. It applies only to people required by law to register, not to all people released from Charlevoix County custody.
